The public loves watching children of celebrities grow up. It is so heartwarming to see them succeed and make their own way in the world, including finding love. For the son of rocker Rod Stewart, it appears as if Cupid’s arrow struck true. Sean Stewart recently eloped on a romantic Valentine’s Day trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, marrying girlfriend Jody Weintraub.
Sean and Jody have much in common. She is also a child of a famous father. Her dad is the legendary late producer Jerry Weintraub. The couple has known each other since high school.
A source close to the couple confirmed the good news to People magazine. It appears as if the elopement was not planned, but the proposal was, and things escalated quickly from there.
"Sean asked her while they were out to dinner at Catch. They married shortly after getting their marriage license at 10 p.m. at Little Church of the West," the source said.
Sean is 42 years old and works as an entrepreneur. His most recent project is as the designer of a streetwear line called Dirty Weekend. Jody is also 42 years old and works as a producer, following in her father’s footsteps. She is also the mother of a 5-year-old son named Doc. Doc and Sean are best buddies.
“They go to the beach, he reads him books, he takes him to karate class, they play Magna-Tiles," the source said. "They're cute together!"
Both Sean and Jody are "very family-oriented people." They plan to have a big wedding to celebrate with their family and friends in Spain at the Marbella Beach Club this summer. Their love for each other just got the best of them in Vegas, and they could not wait another minute to spend the rest of their lives together.
