This video highlights a problem that's all too common, and it stems from the fact that, unfortunately, sometimes we tend to judge a book by its cover.
Yancey Baer is a disabled war veteran, but you can't always tell by looking at him.
He is an amputee from the knee down, and his service dog, Rubina, helps him with everyday tasks.
From turning lights off to bringing things he needs to him, she is there for it all. And that means that she goes everywhere with him, even if it's to a public place.
Unfortunately, some businesses decide to judge the two of them. Two in particular left him feeling humiliated.
They interrogated him and ridiculed him because they saw nothing wrong with him. They thought he didn't need the dog and shouldn't be in their businesses with them.
At first, this hurt Baer and was a discouraging moment for the two of them, I'm sure. But Baer decided to speak out about the subject in order to raise awareness.
Whether you have a physical disability you can see, one you can't see, or even a psychological disability, it doesn't matter. People and their service dogs should all be respected and never questioned.
If everyone watched this PTSD-trained dog calm his owner, maybe then people would be more understanding.
