Shawn Johnson East is settling into life as a mom of two!
On July 19, 2021, Shawn and husband Andrew East welcomed their baby boy. Now they're ready to reveal his name to the world.
In a heartfelt new video sharing more details of her birth experience, Shawn shared the name of her little boy. Jett James East weighed 9 lbs., 13 oz. at birth. Shawn welcomed her baby boy via C-section.
Shawn and Andrew have been excitedly anticipating watching their 21-month-old daughter, Drew Hazel East, interact with her little brother. The Drew/Jett bonding time has sadly been interrupted, however, as Shawn shared in a recent update.
"Healing prayers to my baby girl pretty please. She's been hit hard with a bad ear infection and [respiratory syncytial virus]," she wrote in an Instagram story on July 28.
The illness led them to isolate Drew from her little brother.
"Baby girl update. She's now staying with Gramma and Grampa," the retired gymnast shared on July 29.
"Had some of the hardest and most emotional days of my life trying to take care of both my babies but isolating from Drew. I would just hear her cry for 'mama' and my soul would crush."
"She's being spoiled like crazy by Gamma and Gampa, on the right medications now so getting better, and was actually able to get some sleep last night," Shawn continued.
"Thank you for your prayers. his mamas heart is so pulled. Want to just take it away for her and for her to come home ASAP. Miss my baby girl and miss my baby girl cuddles."
Thankfully, Shawn's last update indicates Drew is on the mend, which means the new siblings should be getting some quality time in before you know it!
