When you see these stunning photos of 4-year-old Giselle's mother did for her, you'll want to do the same for every little girl you know.
I hope Giselle and Wil, whose father takes photos of him flying, get to meet someday — they're both such inspirations!
Kristina Bewley is a photographer who works with special needs children, her daughter Giselle also happens to have Down syndrome.
Giselle is nonverbal, but her vivacious personality is communicated without words. She loves Disney and, clearly, her mama loves her.
To show the world there is more to her daughter than her Down syndrome, Kristina dresses her up as Cinderella, Elsa, Jasmine, and several other Disney characters.
"I'm not trying to be biased, but I think my daughter is beautiful. I think she's as beautiful as any other 4-year-old. I just want her to be treated the same way. She could be a model in her photos," she told Today.
The Bewley family lives close to Disney World and visits once a month. Each time Giselle goes, it's like magic.

This is Giselle Bewley. She is 4 years old and loves all things Disney.

Giselle also has Down syndrome — though I think the most striking thing about her is her fairy wings!

Kristina, Giselle's mom, sees her as an outgoing, headstrong little girl. She knew her daughter would inspire others, so she began taking photos of her daughter in homemade costumes.

"I just want people to look at the photos and think, 'Wow, that little girl is like every other little girl, having fun twirling in a princess dress.' But at the same time, I'm not naive," she said.

"I don't want people to not see her Down syndrome, because it's a part of who she is. But it's not all that's there, she is so much more," she said.

Look at how stunning Giselle looks. Kristina not only makes the costumes and takes the photos, she digitally edits the backgrounds to create spectacular scenes.

For Giselle, going to Disney World is like being under an enchanted spell. "She is nonverbal but you can see the way she lights up when we arrive," Kristina told The Huffington Post.

I'd say looking at these photos of Giselle is pretty magical in and of itself!

Taking the photos allowed Giselle to shine! "She just blossomed. I don't have any other words to describe it — she is a flower and she just burst into blooming when we got there," Bewley said.

Kristina insists having a special needs daughter taught her how "to slow down and really enjoy the little things in life."

Rather than rushing through life, Giselle "likes to stroll the park, smell the flowers, watch the ducks, ride the carousel, see the parades and meet new people."

"Chase all your dreams, little Giselle," Kristina wrote to her daughter on Facebook. Beautiful.
