Little Boy Gets Hit By Car, Then Confesses To His Sister He Survived Because He’s Spider-Man

Little kids have a very funny way of handling situations that could end badly.

For Styles Johnson IV, a 7-year-old in Arizona, getting hit by a car could have been an incredibly difficult time. But thankfully, the little boy was not majorly injured.

In fact, his biggest health concern after the accident was a concussion. Most would say he's very lucky, though Styles told his sister there's a reason he didn't get hurt: He's Spider-Man!

You know, the superhero who was bitten by a radioactive spider and became a web slinger saving New York? Yup, that's him! It makes sense: have you ever heard of anyone else surviving something like this quite so well? Only Spider-Man could!

Styles' sister, Cecily, shared her brother's confession with her followers on Twitter, and the post quickly went viral. In fact, so much so that Styles got attention from a Spider-Man creator and the company that represents the hero!

Styles recently turned 7. For his birthday, he asked for Spider-Man gifts, along with some Star Wars and Harry Potter gear. Clearly, he's got great taste!

His sister told BuzzFeed News that “everything is Spider-Man. He’s seen it, he’s read it, he has it.”

One Friday the 13th, Styles' mom and his two older sisters got a terrifying call: He'd been hit by a car while crossing the street with a friend. The boy was rushed to the Phoenix Children's Hospital.

He only suffered a minor concussion. After getting hit, he'd flipped through the air, so he went through extensive trauma tests before being released to a room for rest.

It was in that room that Styles confessed to his sister why he'd survived without getting hurt. And from there, Cecily shared the story that quickly went viral!

It gained attention from one of the Spider-Man writers. Brian Michael Bendis is the man who created Miles Morales, a version of Spider-Man that was introduced in 2011 to critical acclaim.

Brian wanted to send this young Spidey a get-well package!
