Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin are no longer divorcing!
People has confirmed that, in a stunning move, the couple has decided to call off the divorce. The shift comes just a month after the Flavin filed for divorce.
According to an insider, they are fully back together. Stallone's rep also told Page Six, "They decided to meet back up at home, where they talked and were able to work out their differences. They are both extremely happy."
While celebrity divorces are a dime a dozen, we almost never hear about couples calling their divorces off! The news comes days after a Palm Beach County, Florida, court filing said the pair agreed "that is in the best interests of each of them individually, and more importantly collectively as a family, to resolve all issues attendant to the dissolution of their marriage in a dignified, amicable and private manner out-of-court."
Jennifer filed for the divorce on August 19. In the court documents, she alleged that Sylvester "engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate." Sylvester denied the claims.
While it's certainly happy news that the couple has decided to work things out, no one really saw that coming. A source close to the couple told People that they had long had a lot of differences that led to the split, saying that they "are very different people, age-wise and in temperament." While Sylvester is 76 years old, Jennifer is just 54.
Just after the filing, Jennifer opened up in a statement to People: "I'm sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone. While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters. I ask for privacy for our family as we amicably move forward."
But it's clear the couple is giving this new phase of their relationship a lot of care. Sylvester just posted a throwback picture of him and his wife holding hands, as well as a shot of the whole family. He captioned the post, "Wonderful … ."
The couple shares daughters Scarlet, 20; Sistine, 24; and Sophia, 26.
