Disney characters lead enchanted lives. They overcome adversity with the help of friends and venture toward happily ever after. Even when you style something in your own life after your favorite Disney movies, you think big. But what if you went about it the opposite way? What if Disney characters decided to scale down and join the tiny house movement?
People are ready to live with less, so why would your favorite Disney characters be any exception? It's not always easy to picture these characters in a 21st-century context. A group of designers worked with Angie's List to imagine the very idea. They sat down and took in every detail surrounding the six characters they selected. Here's what they imagined tiny houses styled for Woody from Toy Story, Elsa from Frozen, Merida from Brave, Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and Mulan would look like.

Designers decided to play a game of make believe with some of our favorite Disney characters. They imagined them in a very interesting situation. What if Woody from Toy Story, Elsa from Frozen, Merida from Brave, Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and Mulan embraced the tiny house movement?

To prepare for the scenario, they rewatched each of these films. Then they took note of the various details and nuances that contribute to the characters' personalities. The results are seriously incredible and capture some of that Disney magic.
Woody

We all love Woody for his ability to get things done and rally his friends to do so. The artists kept his classic personality and western style in mind when designing this tiny house. This looks like the perfect spot for the cowboy to lay his boots and his head.

The exterior of Woody's home gives us very "home on the range" vibes. The rocker is the perfect place to kick back with some friends. The fresh wood under the porch is a perfect touch to this tiny western paradise.
Elsa

The various shades of blue feel very Elsa but still fill the home with a charming warmth. The snowflake-inspired roof beams are an exquisite detail. The cozy couch looks like the perfect place to lie back and be unbothered by the cold.

The exposed wood exterior really channels the Enchanted Forest. Just like the character's roots in the movie, the home's design is Norwegian-inspired. The windows are also sweetly reminiscent of the Frozen castle.
Merida
![tiny-house-11.jpg](https://littlethings.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/tiny-house-11.jpg)
The tough but lovely interior space is a perfect mirror for Merida's spirited personality. The spiral chandelier is a nod to Merida's beautiful curls. The medieval fireplace adds a major focal point in the cozy, minimalist space.

The exterior of Merida's tiny house is bold and geometric, just like the Scottish architecture that inspired the filmmakers. It almost gets lost in the surrounding trees. The cathedral-like window tucked under the roof fits the home perfectly.
Mulan

Mulan's tiny home combines both sides of the heroine's personality with traditional Eastern elements. Her home's interior is the most organized of the minimalist spaces. Tokens of Chinese culture provide beautiful areas of detail.

The home has a traditional Chinese exterior with Japanese-style panels that allow the fresh air to flow through the home. The zen garden is a sweet spot that gives Mulan a place to seek out clarity. The view is breathtaking and feels like a power position.
Jack Skellington
![tiny-house-7.jpg](https://littlethings.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/tiny-house-7.jpg)
Jack Skellington gets both Halloween and Christmas represented in his tiny home. The black and blue theme is brought to life by the twinkling of white Christmas lights. The perfectly placed jack-o'-lantern adds a pop of color.

The wooden exterior seems almost like you've happened upon an abandoned house. It could be haunted, but it could also be magic. The rickety wood-frame house is the exact kind of place that we could picture Jack calling home.
Belle
![tiny-house-9.jpg](https://littlethings.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/tiny-house-9.jpg)
Last but not least is Belle's tiny, humble abode. The book stacks around the room are the ultimate accessory for Disney's most popular princess. The pops of color from the furniture complement the room's wood and stone accents so beautifully.

The pop of flowers is a sweet touch on Belle's lovely little home. The stylistic elements definitely draw from Belle and dad Maurice's cottage home. The slightly worn exterior also reflects the kind of princess who is more concerned with substance over appearance.
