There have been a number of reports over the years that indicate Tom Cruise is at least estranged from his daughter Suri Cruise. Fresh allegations that Tom actually has "no role" in Suri's life have come up yet again, this time courtesy of a source who spoke with the Daily Mail.
Suri is reportedly preparing to go to college soon, and the 16-year-old is said to have been sending out applications to a number of schools — and all of this is taking place without any input from Tom at all.
The source tells the outlet that Suri is applying at fashion schools in New York City. The source explains, "Suri is applying to schools all over the place. [Katie] really does want her to stay in New York so they can be close to each other. Katie takes great pride in her but is also extremely overprotective."
The source also adds that Tom does "not have a part in [Suri's] life."
However, Tom is expected to pay for Suri's education at college, which was part of his divorce agreement when he and Katie Holmes split up.

The agreement also reportedly includes a $400,000 a month payment to Katie Holmes until Suri turns 18, as well as his daughter's "medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular costs."
