Considering how much old junk I have stashed in my garage, I love when I come across truly ingenious upcycling projects.
If you haven't already heard of it, "upcycling" is a term that's quickly sweeping the world, and considering how brilliant the results typically are — like these incredible tiki statues made from coffee canisters — it's no wonder!
But when I saw what one dad built from an old, outdated entertainment center, I was absolutely stunned — and I'm sure his little girls felt exactly the same way!
Now, thanks to some creativity and a little bit of old-fashioned elbow grease, his sweet daughters will have an imagination station that they'll always cherish.
As this dad proves, you don't need a fairy godmother to become a princess. All you need are a few pretty dresses and the love of a king.

To create a stunning gift for his daughters, this dad started off by removing the doors and shelves from this old entertainment center.

He then added a sturdy backboard and painted the exterior a bright white.

Next, his two sweet girls helped him pick the bright pink color for the inside and the shelves.

Once the paint was dry, Dad installed some LED lights for added royal glamour.

The lights are controlled by a remote, allowing for settings like flashing lights — which are perfect for princess dance parties.

Shelving and tension rods were then added — along with princess ball gowns, slippers, and other essential accessories.

When it was all finished, his little girls had the perfect princess dress-up station.
