When you decide to have a baby, one of the hardest decisions to make is choosing the name. I found choosing my daughter’s name quite easy because I named her after my grandmother. I struggled to land on a boy's name, though, when my fiancé and I were discussing names. This, of course, was before we knew if we were having a boy or a girl.
Boy names are hard to choose from. Thankfully, the YouTube channel Baby Name Sunday posted a video of new and unique boy names for the year 2022. If you are currently having trouble choosing a name, this is worth a watch.
Heidi, the creator of Baby Name Sunday, has 31,000 subscribers checking in every week for a new baby name video. She starts off the video by introducing herself and explaining what she will be discussing in terms of names this week, then she informs us that she did a girl names video the week before!
Heidi gives her viewers her Instagram handle, followed by her email address for one-on-one baby consultation for those having some real trouble trying to figure out their new baby’s name.
Heidi’s list of boy names is from A to Z and is pretty long, so I’m going to list a few that I liked from her list for you!
A — Alvey, a Finish variant meaning "white."
B — Blaine, which means "slender" and is similar sounding to the girl's name Blair.
C — Cairo, the Egyptian capital, meaning "the strong."
D — Deacon (I love this name!), Greek-rooted, meaning "messenger."
E — Esben, a Danish- and Scandinavian-rooted name, meaning "Bear god."
F — Flint, a nature name and a type of rock.
H — Hartley, which means "horse meadow."
I — Ilyrian, meaning "from the ancient city."
K — Kenzington.
M — Mylan, meaning "merciful champion soldier."
O — Oaken, an oak tree or oak derivative.
R — Rylo, a newly invented name that could mean "thunderbolt."
S — Sage.
T — Thane, a Scottish-rooted name, comes from a Scottish clan chief.
