Roslyn Breen, 3, received the royal treatment for Halloween thanks to her crafty and loving mom, Tiffany. Knowing her daughter's love for the Disney princesses, Tiffany transformed Roslyn's wheelchair into Cinderella's carriage.
Roslyn was born with a muscular condition that has baffled doctors. "Roslyn is officially undiagnosed at this point — we have exhausted science," her mom explained. "She falls under an umbrella description called arthrogryposis, which means joint contractures and poor muscle tone."
However, just because the toddler is in a wheelchair doesn't mean she can't celebrate Halloween like all of the other kids. “Roz is forever my little princess," her mom said. "And she loves Disney, so we knew Cinderella was something she’d really want."
Tiffany got creative and found a way to turn Roslyn's wheelchair into a beautiful carriage fit for the princess she is. "I just grabbed tinsel and ribbon, and we bought some lights that operated on a battery, hula hoops, and zip ties," Tiffany explained. Roslyn added, "And it glows!"
The little girl completed the amazing costume by wearing a blue Cinderella dress and glass slippers. "I wanted her to draw attention in a positive way," Tiffany said. "Sometimes, we get a lot of stares for different reasons."
Instead of people staring in a bad way, they asked the little girl for photos and cheered for her while the family was at a Halloween celebration at their local zoo.
