Six months ago, Imgur user YouLoseTheGameTony set off on a grand DIY-ing adventure.
He'd always fantasized about owning his own teardrop trailer, and decided the time for realizing that dream had finally arrived.
After searching the web for his ideal project design, this creator got to work, building himself his ideal teardrop trailer.
This creator started his build by first assembling his trailer's base chassis.
He then covered this chassis with foam-insulated baltic birch flooring.
With his trailer's strong base set in place, this DIY-er turned his attention to sawing out his new trailer's wooden side walls.
As far as these walls were concerned, even the slightest mistake could have derailed his project's entire plan. So, this Imgur user took special care to measure and remeasure throughout the wall-sawing process.
After successfully sawing out his trailer walls, this forward-thinking builder covered their bottom edges in epoxy. This step would prevent future water damage.
With all his pieces sawed out perfectly, this Imgur user began assembling the rest of his trailer.
He cut inner grooves into each wall's edge so that the roofing pieces could seamlessly wedge into place along the trailer's frame.
After assembling the rest of this frame, he outfitted the trailer with its electrical system, insulated the entire structure, and covered its innards with a smooth, epoxy-resin-coated outer skin.
This builder then covered his entire teardrop trailer in shiny aluminum and installed prefabbed doors and windows.
He chose to secure the metal in place with pieces of trim rather than adhesive, so that this exterior could ebb and flow with the changing external temperatures.
With his trailer's exterior now complete, this DIY-er turned his attention to decorating its interior.
He fit his bed snuggly in place.
This decorator also outfitted his windows with adorable curtains sporting on-point teardrop trailer illustrations.
He then installed both a skylight and vent, to improve airflow within the trailer and allow for endless evening stargazing.
On its backside, this builder installed his trailer's galley.
With vinyl-tile laminate countertops, storage space, and a hand pump sink, this galley will certainly come in handy for all sorts of future food prep situations.
Six months later, hitched to his truck, this trailer was finally ready to hit the open road.
Thanks to his devoted perseverance, this DIY-er built himself an adorable teardrop trailer.
Now, wherever his travels take him, he'll know that, come nightfall, he has a safe place to sleep in peace.
This builder set his mind to creating his own teardrop trailer, and absolutely succeeded in making an adorable vessel, perfect for all sorts of exciting adventures.
