Stunning Gemstone Furniture Adds A Gorgeous Gleam To Any Room

Even if you're the modest, understated sort, you probably have a little bit of bling — something that sparkles just enough to make you feel a little fancy. Maybe it's a piece of jewelry, or something with sequins.

Maybe it's even something you've made yourself, like this easy DIY disco ball that brightens up a room. Because then not only does it have inherent sparkle, but a personalized gleam, too!

And while we all have varying levels of love for sparkly, shiny, or flashy things, some people take it very, very seriously.

So seriously, in fact, that they've taken to bringing huge, sparkling geodes right into their homes.

These semiprecious gems are left in their nearly natural state, jagged crystals and all, and use them in some pretty unconventional ways! We're talking lamps, sinks, tables, and more.

The result is a striking centerpiece to any room, but the sheer bulk of them definitely mean that they may not be to everyone's taste.

Take a look at some of the crystal home furnishings we've found across the internet, and see which ones you might consider — and which ones might be too much! Let us know what you think in the comments.

This coffee table is a striking example of using a massive geode as furniture. The upside to the glass top is that its crystal interior will stay sparkly and dust-free, but the downside? This probably weighs a ton.

Other designs are a bit simpler, using a slice of geode for the top of a café-style table.

And while amethyst remains a popular choice, other gems are often used, too, like this delicate blue agate.

Other designs see a bunch of smaller geodes fused together to create a collaged look.

This amethyst countertop reveals its gorgeous inside with a subtle corner detail — that may or not have been intentional!

If it were an accidental break, it's a pretty nice one!

Other people take advantage of the geode's translucence, and use them as a natural alternative to stained glass.

Others have used the facets of the crystals to reflect light, like with this lamp base.

We don't want to think about dusting this, though.

And the same goes for this sink. It looks like something out of a magical underground cave river, but cleaning it? No thanks.

Luckily, some designers thought about this, and this smoothly carved sink has both beauty and easy cleaning.

And if you really want to get decadent, you could always go for this amethyst bathtub.

OK, those pieces are definitely unique, but for most of us, they're pretty impractical. But if you love the earthy sparkle and natural design of geodes, don't worry. You can still add some mineral flair to your home without going all-out.

And if a whole lamp or window is too much for you, a nightlight is a great way to appreciate the way light can come through a stone.

And many geodes are naturally round, which makes them perfect coasters.
