Dad Lines Up 7 Baseball Bats And Transforms Them Into An Adorable Headboard For His Son

Part of the fun of being a parent is taking part in the decorating process for your son or daughter's room.

And while they may have some crazy ideas about what they'd like to hang on the walls, or not-so-attractive colors they'd love for the carpets, there are certainly plenty of ways you can come together with your child and bond as part of the room-decorating process.

One DIY dad recently posted such an undertaking on his Imgur page. In order to give his baseball-fan son a unique room that he could truly call home, this dad decided to deck out the entire space with baseball regalia, right down to the last detail.

And perhaps the best part of the whole room is the DIY baseball bat headboard that this father created. Not only is it inventive, but it looks like something you could buy at a store for hundreds and hundreds of dollars!

Scroll through below to see how this dad turned his son's ordinary room into a baseball lover's haven with this fun baseball bat headboard!

When his wife spotted a baseball bat headboard online for $550, this DIY dad knew he could make one better and for far less money.

When his wife then spotted a bunch of baseball bats online that had already been cut in half, they decided to order 13 of them.

This DIY-er attached seven of the bat halves to a wood base, hiding any screws as best as he could.

With the first half of the bats in place, it was time to add in the other six, facing the other direction.

With the bats all secured with the top and bottom strips of pine, this DIY-er started the staining process.

While the stain truly makes the baseball bats pop, he does note on Imgur: "Hindsight, I would have stained everything prior to nailing and gluing the bats together. This was a pain."

But with all the pieces in place, he was ready to install the headboard in his son's baseball-themed bedroom.

This dad writes, "My little guy thanked me a million times for it over the past week."
