It's fantastic to create things that make others do a double take.
DIY projects are the best for scenarios like these — you can build things that are highly functional, make art that reflects your love for country, and piece together extremely useful tools out of otherwise useless things.
Perhaps the most astounding kinds of projects have end results that are so visually stunning, others will be confused about how it was made.
One Imgur user has done exactly this. To create the most intriguingly charming addition to the room, the user designed a beautiful bed frame with just a few wooden planks and an LED rope. The entire design took only four days to complete.
The results were captivating. Especially when the lights go off, the whole room seemed to transform…

The bed frame that would eventually turn out to look magically bizarre — started with a straightforward design concept.
Two separate frames were fused together: the base frame consisted of 2" x 8" planks, and the top frame by 2" x 4" planks.
Instead of slats, two separate large boards had to be fitted onto the base frames. These were made to be detachable, to allow for what had to come later...
Next, planks measuring 1" x 6" and 2" x 6" were secured to each other to make the headboard.
The outer edges of the base frames were stained after they'd been sanded down.
To create a standalone "floating" bed, segments of both frames had to tactfully line up with each other.
A 24-foot-long LED rope was used to wire in the light assembly underneath the frame.
The final product created a splendidly serene atmosphere for the room.
In the mornings, the bed looks like a zen escape.
At night, a calm sensation fills the room. The colored lights that the user had already installed gave the space a lovely, mystical look.
