Have you ever wanted to add some color and character to your home, but didn't want to make a huge change? Instead of painting the walls a brighter shade or buying new furniture, you could hang a gorgeous, DIY wall garden practically anywhere!
In the video below, posted on May 5, 2017, a woman prepares to create the perfect accent to any home. She starts by choosing a boring picture frame and removes the back, the blank paper, and the front-facing glass.
Next, she takes the blank paper that comes with the frame and uses it to measure. She takes a pair of scissors and uses the paper as a guide to cut into a wire grid. While popping the grid in place, she staples it to the frame.
She then paints a square wooden tray and glues it to the back of the picture frame, creating a shadow box.
After attaching a hanging wire, it's time for the best part of all: She takes a pile of moistened soil and plops it right into the shadow box. She fills it with enough dirt to almost touch the wire grid on top.
During the most creative portion of this project, she picks a bunch of tiny succulent plants and cuts into the wire grid, placing them all inside.
