I recently faced a frustrating dilemma: In my teeny-tiny apartment, at the top of my even teeny-tinier closet, I encountered a huge mess. As I began to clean it out, I realized that everything I'd squirreled away was nothing but junk…
As I continued to downsize, a kind of weightlessness came over me; without all of my useless stuff, I felt totally free. And I realized that this liberating feeling must be the reason why more and more people are turning to the Tiny House Movement.
When making the decision to move into a tiny house — like the incredible 240-square-foot home you're about to see — it's essential to cut down on all material possessions and totally streamline one's life. How else could you roam the countryside in such a petite abode?

From the outside, this sweet 240-square-foot home might look a little industrial — but inside, it's a rustic, down-home dream.

This tiny house — dubbed "The Texan" — is built upon a flatbed trailer, so it's ready to roll whenever you are.

Step inside and you'll be bathed in the warmth of the all-cedar walls and hardwood floors.

The 10-foot ceilings make way for two spacious lofts, one above the living space, and the other above the bathroom.

The full kitchen has ample storage, and the bathroom features RV waste disposal — though it could be switched out for a composting toilet.

The brushed nickel hardware of the faucets, doorknobs, and handles gives the tiny house a modern edge, which perfectly plays off of the rustic warmth.

The 13-foot couch also acts as storage, and the 6' x 8' living area provides more legroom than the average tiny house.

Its many windows allow the sun to fill up the tiny home. Can you imagine waking up in this cozy loft every morning?
