Avery Sanford of Virginia was a senior in high school when a man pulled up to her home in an SUV attached to a landscaping trailer.
Security cameras captured the man dumping 80,000 pennies on the Sanfords' front lawn.
Avery's mom ran outside to ask what he was doing, not realizing who had just pulled up to her house.
"It's your final child support payment," the man told her.

That's when she realized the man was actually her estranged husband, whom she hadn't spoken to in years. Avery was really disappointed, to say the least, by her father's spiteful act.
Together, Avery and her mom collected the thousands of pennies using a snow shovel, then came up with a brilliant way to totally change the narrative.
They took the 80,000 pennies and used it to donate $800 to a domestic abuse organization. What they didn't expect, was the chain of kindness they were about to set off.
