Cars From The ’80s Are Making A Huge Comeback

I have always wanted a cool car, but living in New York City and never having opened a savings account… it doesn't seem like that's going to happen anytime in the near future.

When the day comes when I can get myself a fancy car, chances are that it's going to be an '80s or '80s-inspired sports car. Sure, they're a little boxy, but there's something about the wedged shape and the aesthetic from that time period that's so appealing to me. The '80s were a time where everyone was looking toward the future, guessing what would come next. Car companies were not exempt from this phenomenon, and this attitude resulted in some very unconventional, boxy angles and surprising lines. But it was strange in a good way, if you know what I mean.

As it turns out, I'm not alone in feeling this way. There's been a huge increase in the amount of people purchasing cars from this era. In turn, the worth of these super-cool cars has increased. The Lamborghini Countach, for example? Just wait until you find out how much this car, once worth about $100,000, has increased in value! Why? Because all those little boy and girls with Lamborghini posters on their walls during that time have now grown up to be successful adults with cash to burn.

Do you think that when this generation grows up, they'll be shelling out their hard-earned money on Toyota Priuses? Only time will tell…
