One year after the tragic death of actress Anne Heche, her ex-partner, James Tupper, stepped out in his first red carpet appearance with their son, Atlas Tupper. They attended the 30th annual Race to Erase MS Gala. There, James opened up about how he and Atlas had been taking care of each other since Anne's passing.
"We're taking care of each other and taking it one day at a time," he shared. "We still miss her, we miss her every day, love her."
He continued on to share that Atlas wants to make a name for himself, with no desire to follow in either of his parents' footsteps. "He does not want to be an actor," he said. "He is really into tennis, he takes it seriously and plays every day for about two hours."

Anne's death was the result of being in a fiery car crash. She was said to be speeding and crashed into a home in residential neighborhood in Mar Vista, California. She remained in a coma for around a week before being declared legally dead. She was 53 years old at the time of her death.
