As a kid, every Saturday my parents would take me to a local antiques auction. Considering I wasn't allowed to bid (despite all my pleading), and the items being sold were of no interest to me, I would pass the hour staring at the auctioneer — mesmerized by his rhythmic and fast-paced babble. I had no idea what he was saying, but I loved it!
Now — as a seasoned and oh-so-wise adult — I know that auctioneering is actually a respectable art! And it's no wonder, because it actually takes years of schooling and practice to reach the break-neck speeds of professional auctioneers. There's even national auctioneer competitions!
But this particular auctioneer footage is pretty unique.
We all know their chants (or "cattle rattle" as they're sometimes called) are musical in nature — but what happens when you take a livestock auction and drop a musical beat on top?
