Lea Salonga just might be my favorite Broadway performer of all time. Not only did she play the part of Fantine in the 25th anniversary of Les Miserables, she was also the voice of Jasmine in my favorite Disney movie, Aladdin.
During most concert performances, she invites a brave audience member on stage to sing Aladdin's part in the hit "A Whole New World." Sometimes… it doesn't turn out so well. But this time, when Jared Young was chosen from the crowd, it was his time to shine! He was obviously a bit nervous at first, but once he got into it, look out Broadway! It used to be his dream to play the part of Aladdin… it's a dream he should give another shot!
