Autistic Man Helps Save A Drowning Baby By Communicating With Police Via Social Media

For individuals with mental disabilities such as nonverbal autism, communicating and interacting with others can be a difficult task. They may be shy, and only open up to certain individuals, like this little boy who fell in love with Snow White at Disney World.

To contact others, 23-year-old Aaron Cahal uses his phone, and can connect with the rest of the world through text messaging and social media. Being autistic may affect his face-to-face interactions, but online, he has no problem making his voice heard! And that's precisely what he did when he heard screams in his neighborhood.

His mother was in the midst of an afternoon nap and he was in the backyard when he heard the yells. At the time, he didn't know that they were coming from an 18-month-old baby, who had fallen into a pool.

The tech-savvy man knew that something was very wrong, and pulled up the local police station's Facebook page. There, he posted a photo of the neighborhood and a caption that read, "police we need police I heard big crying people scary people."

Another man performed CPR on the child while paramedics rushed to the scene. Thankfully, the baby is all right, and Aaron helped save him!
