The Caldwell Zoo has welcomed it's newest baby: a giraffe named Knox.
The giraffe, born Aug. 15, is finally making his public debut this weekend. At just two weeks old, the baby stands 5 and a half feet tall and weighs 112 lbs. He isn't shy, playfully posing for photos taken by the zoo staff. The zoo is taking great care of him and making sure he is getting use to his surroundings. The Caldwell Zoo currently participates in the Giraffe Species Survival Program, which was created for the purpose of ensuring the survival of species in need.
