You may have heard before that there’s a good reason for humans to love baby animals as much as we do. Supposedly, it’s because young mammals remind us of our own babies, thanks to their big eyes and slightly oversize heads!
After all, even this funky-looking critter is pretty darn cute as a baby! It’s just something about those snuggly little faces.
Granted, baby birds and lizards can be pretty adorable, too, given the right opportunities, but, at the end of the day, does anything really beat a fluffy, clumsy puppy — like this one struggling with a playground slide?
Up until recently, I would have answered with a resounding “No!” But that was before. Now, I have seen the magic of cuddling baby otters, and I will never turn back.
I’ve never seen an otter outside of the water before, so I had no idea what to expect from these little guys on dry land. Turns out that they are just astonishingly cute, no matter what environment you find them in!
These particular little guys were on a newsroom visit from Wildlife World Zoo in Arizona. And I can promise you this: watching these curious little pups quest around an unfamiliar space is well worth your time!
