Barbie-Obsessed Man Turns The Inside Of His Suburban House Into A Pink Museum

There isn’t always a simple explanation for why a person develops an addiction.

Addicts don’t always fall under the influence of drugs or alcohol — there are plenty of other addictive habits, like hoarding, collecting, and even overeating, that are just not as frequently talked about.

In this rather interesting clip, Stanley Colarite, also known as the “Barbie man,” explains his addiction to everything and anything Barbie. His love for the brand has led him to holding a Barbie museum in his house. His collection fills up four whole rooms of his house and serve as a jaw-dropping aesthetic for those that visit this goldmine of Barbie memorabilia.

Colarite has collected over 3,000 Barbie dolls since 1977 and has no plans of stopping.

Colarite uses the internet and garage sales to his advantage, collecting rare Barbie finds from all different years. On average, he spends about $30,000 on anything Barbie. Anything that he finds with the brand’s name, he buys. Colarite compares his addiction to that of a drug habit — a habit he just can’t quit.

Living with tons of dolls isn’t for everyone. Luckily, his partner also has a Ken collection of his very own, made of about 1,000 dolls.

For all the time, money, and effort he’s put into building such a diverse Barbie collection should be celebrated.
