MVP stands for 'most valuable player', but that doesn't always mean the MVP has actually played a game.
Micah Ahern is the MVP of TCU's baseball team, but he's only 7 years old. The Texas native has never played a minute of baseball in his short life, but that's never stopped him from rooting for the Omaha team that he loves.
Ahern is fighting a very rare form of cancer. Unfortunately, his family says that he has run out of treatment options. The little guy has been a fan of TCU for a while, but they're even bigger fans of Ahern. TCU's catcher, Evan Skoug, said this about Ahern: “I've never seen someone take over a room with the kind of presence he has and he is like seven years old, right.”
While Ahern found himself on hospice care, he and his mother were given a gift from a very generous anonymous donor. He was flown out to see his TCU team play and hopefully win in the College World Series!
You can see Ahern and all the wonderful things his team has to say about how his strength motivates them in the video below! Little guys like Ahern and the boy who played baseball after having open-heart surgery are an inspiration to us all!
Ahern can use all of our best wishes! Don't forget to SHARE this pint-size hero with all of your friends and family!
