A Police Officer Called This 5-Year-Old Boy For Help. What He Does Will Leave You In Tears!

Five-year-old Miles Scott received the surprise of a lifetime when San Francisco’s police chief called on him to save the city.

“Gotham City needs you, Batman!” Police Chief Greg Suhr said in a 2013 video message. “We have a damsel in distress, but that’s just the beginning… Please, Caped Crusader — we need you, and bring the Batkid.”

Miles, a leukemia survivor who was diagnosed when he was just 18 months old, wanted to meet the real Batman and fight some bad guys by his side. Miles was able to do so with the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which has granted many wishes before like sending a young girl to Disneyland and giving another the chance to meet a unicorn.

On the memorable day, a man dressed as Batman took his young sidekick to fight crime while thousands of volunteers swarmed the streets to watch. The young boy became very immersed in his role as Batkid and took the job very seriously — just wait till you see what he does at the 2:44 mark. Even President Barack Obama sent Miles a message for his good work (as seen at 4:45).

With the help of social media, Miles’ wish went viral and was covered by major news outlets, including CNN, ABC, and NBC. Two years later, Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts is even making his story into a feature film.

“This was far beyond anything, anything we expected,” Scott’s father said in the video.
