While humans do their best to build houses, pave roads, and live in communities, it's easy to forget the huge amounts of wild animals that live amongst us. We're used to seeing smaller animals like chipmunks, deer, squirrels, and birds; but from time to time, we'll encounter an animal that truly has awe-inspiring powers.
It was a beautiful day for one Colorado man when he realized he had to go throw away some trash in the garbage containers outside. Everything was perfectly normal, but that all changed when he suddenly heard some rather strange noises coming from inside. In a few seconds, he suddenly realized he had come face-to-face with a rather large grizzly bear.
While most people's normal instincts would be to run away screaming in horror, this man knew exactly what he had to do. If he began to run, he must have known that the bear would have quite possibly seen him as prey and chase him down. Grizzlies can reach a top speed of 40 miles per hour, so if it came to a footrace, the bear wins every single time.
Instead, the man puffed up his chest and gave a gravely "Hey bear… Get out of here!" Letting the bear know who was the boss seemed to work, because this imposing animal quickly peaked his head out and skittered away like a little lamb. Giving one last defiant look to the man, the bear rustled away back into the forest.
As humans continue to spread, these majestic creatures are coming into more and more contact with humans and especially their trash. Hopefully this incident will cause the authorities to install some kind of locks to the containers to ensure that more bears aren't attracted to the tasty smells of all that food. Thankfully, this occurrence ended without anyone getting hurt, but with an animal of that size and power, you can never tell when he might be a bit less afraid of your yelling!
