Soldier Steps Out Of Airport, But Has No Clue Dozens Of Bikers Are Waiting For Him

Usually, the internet is flooded with soldier reunions, and the heartwarming, tearjerking homecomings that have been filmed are truly a sight to behold. But what we don't see often enough is the soldier being the one surprised! And in that same vein, being surprised by a crew of bikers!

A surprise just like that occurred in the borough of Zelienople, Pennsylvania, with the return of Army National Guard Staff Sergeant Jesse Hogan.

Jesse had been deployed overseas for 11 months. The Zelienople native served four tours: two in Iraq, one in Afghanistan, and one in Qatar.

So, it was going to be a wonderful reunion for the soldier, who hadn't seen his family in almost a year.

Little did he know, his family members weren't the only ones waiting for him.

“I assumed it would just be my family, my mom and dad, and all these people showed up,” Sergeant Jesse said, stunned.

Upon exiting the terminal of Pittsburgh International Airport, Jesse found himself looking at 67 motorcycles of the American Legion Riders of Zelienople.

The bikers had arrived with the goal of escorting the soldier and his family home.

“It’s an awesome feeling for the people we’ve escorted. Had them come up to me after and thank us for escorting them home. They said they’ve never expected a homecoming like that,” Mike Schoeffel, Vice President of the American Legion Riders of Zelienople, said.
