Blind Ballerina Returns To Stage With Beautiful Comeback Performance

Anna Mott has been dancing since age 3, but four years ago, she started suffering from pain so unbearable that she was unable to walk. Soon after, doctors revealed the source was pineoblastoma. Mott had a brain tumor that was roughly the size of a baseball.

Now 18 years old, Mott has had brain surgery, 33 radiation treatments, and chemo. Her parents say they almost lost their daughter several times throughout these treatments, and she was pretty much vegetative and unresponsive for a long time.

The treatments left Mott partially paralyzed and blind, but once she began to recover and regain her strength, she wanted to keep dancing.

With the help of her family, Mott was able to return to the stage, performing a solo at Jenny Anderson theater in Marietta, GA. In front of a packed auditorium, Mott gracefully danced again and even received a standing ovation.

It’s truly incredible to see people achieving great feats and not letting their disabilities hinder their talents, like this young autistic boy who was blessed with perfect pitch or the former paralympian turned wheelchair aerialist!

After her performance, Anna told USA Today: "This is honestly the best I have felt in the past three years. No matter what happens to you in life, you can do anything."

Her dad proudly added: "I have the same feelings I had before but even more so because I know that it's a miracle."
