An off-duty Border Patrol agent was driving around near the US-Mexico border when he spotted a small figure up ahead.
Heartbreakingly, he found himself driving toward a 10-year-old boy from Nicaragua — all alone, terrified and crying on the side of the dirt road.
The officer addressed the boy in Spanish.
“You didn’t come with your mommy or daddy or anyone?”

"No one," the boy cried. "I came here to ask for help."
As it turned out, the boy had been wandering around the desert for four hours before he was found. He had apparently been abandoned at night by the large group of migrants he'd been traveling with. He fell asleep and when he woke up, he was all alone.
"I can be kidnapped or something. I'm scared."
After the powerful video went viral, people from all over have been expressing their concern for the child. Watch the video below to learn more about what happened and where the boy is now.
