Police in Brazil have confirmed they recently arrested a man after he allegedly imprisoned, married, and fathered multiple children with his stepdaughter while also forcing her to engage in unwanted sexual acts with men for over 20 years. According to a press release, the Paraná Civil Police arrested a 51-year-old man after apprehending him in Araucaria in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba on September 17, 2025, just one day after the victim “managed to escape.”
The victim claimed she was able to flee under the guise of having a doctor’s appointment. She reportedly told police she had been abused since she was 7 years old and was forced to marry her captor after getting pregnant at 16, and she continued to give birth to several more children.
According to the press release, while filing the report, she received threats from her abuser via phone and audio messages. After witnessing the stalking firsthand, police went to the suspect’s home, where he attempted to hide from them but was ultimately captured. Police also seized security cameras and phones containing video evidence of the alleged abuse.
According to The Daily Mail, the victim was motivated to escape after she noticed “strange behavior from him” toward her daughters.
