Every year, Broken Arrow High releases its annual "lip dub," and it's something I'm always excited to watch. The Oklahoma school sets elaborate dances to the year's most popular music, and watching these talented high schoolers dance is a treat!
The 12-minute video was shot over the course of three weeks, and it features almost, if not all, 3,600 students who are all in the ninth to the twelfth grades. The school's sports teams are prominently featured, just ahead of their Division I state semifinal game. Watch these kids lip sync to Kanye West’s “We Don’t Care,” Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song,” and Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance,” among many other hits. Even the administrators get in on the action by dancing the "Whip/Nae Nae!"
But my favorite moments? The wrestlers hilariously doing their best "Stanky Leg" dance, and the football players enthusiastically singing Miley Cyrus's hit, "We Can't Stop."
Finally, all the singing and dancing culminates into an impressive school-wide dance to High School Musical's "We're All in This Together," which was appropriately filmed on the Friday of the school's Homecoming Week.
The director of the video, the school's video production manager, Greg Spencer, deserves a huge round of applause for this new viral hit!
