Anyone who’s ever given a speech at a wedding knows there’s a lot of pressure on the moment. Not only from the bride and groom — no one wants to be the person who gives a buzz-killing speech — but there’s also an entire room full of people, most of whom are strangers, just staring at you. It’s got to be personal, but not to the point of exclusion. It’s got to be short, but not to the point of carelessness. You’ve got to find the perfect balance.
For this particular brother of the bride, his wedding speech moment was going decidedly well. Much like these sisters, who prepared a hilarious song for their sister on her wedding day, the guests are laughing and the bride is visibly emotional. As any brother would, he was just trying to make his sister’s big day as wonderful as possible. It reminds me of these brothers and their incredible rap performance at their little sister’s wedding.
It’s smooth sailing for him right up until he hits the 2:08 mark in his speech and flubs one very important word. From there, the entire room goes crazy. I’ve never seen a speech go this well by accident. It’s too funny!
