Beautiful Butterfly Lands On Flutist’s Face MID-Performance! Talk About Perfect Timing!

Music competitions can be stressful for some young performers as they aim to win the the top prizes. But Yukie Ota barely flinched when an unexpected guest crashed her solo during the Carl Nielsen International Flute Competition.

As Ota began to play, a majestic butterfly landed on her nose and perched there for the entire performance. What a moment! Ota glanced up but wasn't phased. She continued to play her song, and the butterfly seemed to enjoy it, waving its wings to Sancan's Sonatine.

After a nail-biting few minutes, Ota fished her solo and nonchalantly brushed the butterfly off her nose. Not many people would be able to remain so calm when there was a bug on their face. She deserves to make it to the next round just for that! What would you do in that situation?
