This Abandoned Traffic Jam Has Been Sitting In The Woods For 50 Years…Why? I Have Chills!

Lots of abandoned places are riddled with mystery. Who left them? What were they running from? And most importantly, why were these places and things left behind?

Was there a tragedy? Did money run out? Or did life, sadly, just end?

For instance, what are we to make a box of old toys, a suitcase full of junk, or bullet holes in a wall?

Sometimes all we have are these dusty, rusty, and often cryptic remnants. They're all brimming with secrets just begging to be solved, and the only thing we can do is hypothetically piece their histories together as best we can.

But sometimes we find out the truth.

Nestled deep within a forest near a small Belgian village is a car graveyard. It looks like there was a traffic jam and the cars simply never moved — although their owners obviously moved on. But where did they go? Why were the cars left behind?

Luckily, the skeletons of cars tell their own tale…

Urban legend has it that these vehicles once belonged to U.S. soldiers.

They were stationed in the region...

…right after WWII.

When the troops were sent home, they hid their cars in this forest.

They thought they would eventually come back.

They’d retrieve their old cars.

But that never happened.

So these cars remain.

Sadly overrun by nature and covered in rust.

Do you believe that’s how these cars got here? Or do you think there’s something more sinister at play? Maybe someone’s trying to hide something!
