Most cats don't really care what you think. They are composed and dignified, and don't seem to need our approval the way dogs do. They are not really that interested in following orders or impressing us with their tricks. But whoever said cats can't be trained have never seen this talented tabby.
In fact, according to the ASPCA, one of the first scientific studies highlighting the importance of reinforcement in animal behavior was done with cats. Since they are not as easy to motivate as a dog, training a cat just requires a little creativity and patience. Like this cat who learned to dunk a basketball, or this kitty who shows off her skateboarding skills to her 92,000 YouTube subscribers, they are just as talented as (if not more than) your smartest pooch!
Somehow the owners of this cat have taught her this trick, and it's amazing! She stands perfectly still while she balances a Q-tip across her nose, and she's able to keep it there for 15 seconds before she lets it fall off.
