Ah, kittens. Much like human babies, there are few things quite as entertaining as watching a developing mind discover the many wonders and new surprises of the world. Of course, sometimes those discoveries can come at an uncomfortable price.
Likewise, baby hedgehogs make for equally adorable clips of youthful curiosity. These sleepy little balls of spines are pretty cuddly in their own way. And these paper roll enthusiasts can be pretty dang cute all on their own, but pair them up with a feisty little kitty? Hilarity ensues.
When Harley the hedgehog was introduced to Loki the kitten, there was a lot of slow approaching and then frantic backpedaling on both ends while each tried to sum up the other. Their first few encounters were a little strained as Loki figured out whether to fear or fight the prickly creature. We’re left thinking they eventually managed to work past their differences and become pals.
This sentiment is echoed by an eight-year-old ragdoll kitten in the video below. When she tries to assert her dominance, she learns the hard way that this little guy has his own way of protecting himself. She attempts to sit on him, but quickly realizes that wasn't the best idea!
