This is What REALLY Happens To Checked Luggage At The Airport…

After dropping luggage off with the ticket agent and seeing it disappears from sight, most of us are running off to catch our flights – never thinking twice about our bags. But you will be pretty surprised to see the kind of journey your checked baggage really take at the airport!

Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport attached a 360-degree camera to a checked bag to show viewers what really goes on. This mesmerizing video gives travelers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what their bags experience while they are busy getting through the security check point.

While most of us are busy getting through security or jetting home to surprise our loved ones, our bags are on a wild ride that looks like the most exciting roller coaster. The video begins with a man loading the luggage on the carousel. The video is shot from the luggage's point of view, as it descends through various checkpoints — a seemingly long labyrinth of conveyer belts that'll eventually get it to the correct destination.

All in all, this is pretty sweet. The bag does not have to lug itself through a crowded terminal and takes a sightseeing tour through the mostly unseen parts of the airport. Watching the bag take a leisurely ride through the airport kind of like at an amusement park, is sure to give you a whole new outlook on whether or not you'll check your bags again.
