My best friend is one of those types of people with an extra-strong sweet tooth. Where I can have one bite of a cake and be perfectly content, she won't be satisfied until she's devoured the entire thing! Luckily, she has learned some self-restraint over the years, but it hasn't been easy. It reminds me of one of my favorite Beatles songs, "Savoy Truffle." Written by guitarist George Harrison, the tune is an homage to his friend Eric Clapton's insatiable chocolate addiction. Despite toothaches, the legendary rocker just couldn't hold himself back.
Maybe both of our friends should just learn to be sneakier about their sweet snacks. This project from DaveHax would be the perfect solution for anyone looking to covertly keep their candy all to themselves. Just like the crafty Coca-Cola bottle cake, Dave takes an ordinary milk jug and creates a mind-bending (and delicious) confection.
After using all of the dairy product as you like, wash out the inside of the plastic container with water and allow it to dry. Then, you just need to melt some creamy white chocolate and slowly pour a layer into the bottle. You don't want to make it too thick, of course, or there won't be any room for extra treats inside. As it cools down, you'll want to rotate the jug to keep the chocolate nice and even.
Once it's completely solidified, carefully cut away the plastic and place the lid and label around your new chocolate container! It's incredible how similar it looks to a real bottle of milk.
