A Cappella Choir Sings New Yet Old-Fashioned Life Into ‘The Star Spangled Banner’

"The Star Spangled Banner." It's a timeless tune with a beautiful message that we, as Americans, will never tire from hearing. It's one of the most beautiful songs of all time, and no matter how many times you listen to it, you'll never lose that feeling of spirit and pride in the United States.

While there are many ways to sing this famous song, an eight-part a cappella choir called The Liberty Voices has taken the classic anthem and not only made it their own, but also gave it an arrangement we've never heard before. And it sounds as if it could have come straight from the early 1800s.

Clad in Victorian-era clothes, they soar through the song, but you'd never realize it was that same one we hear so loudly sang at every sporting event. This time, it's a quieter and more thoughtful tune, with unique arrangements and melodies between the male and female singers.

However, at 1:20, they reach the climax of the song, and despite however many times we've heard it, it's still such an uplifting change in tone that always makes us proud to be Americans. Especially this time as the Liberty Voices bring a controlled and more respectful take on it. Grab yourself a flag, salute, and be proud!
