It seems that these days television is filled with nothing but violence and subject matter that is just too shocking for some viewers. Alongside with the news, it really feels like the world can be a scary place sometimes. Television studios will produce anything just as long as it gets good ratings!
Back in the days when talent actually counted for something, silly television shows were filled with fun, but valuable life lessons. It can be astounding to see the sheer differences between what was aired in the old days and what shows up on TV today.
Thankfully, there are certainly still programs out there which focus on talent and the good in society, but if you want some good old-fashioned entertainment, you're better off looking to the past.
