Ask Jeffrey Livermore, and he'll tell you the viral photo of him helping a blind citizen is no big deal.
"To me, it's just normal police duties," he told ABC 10 News.
Yet the San Diego cop, who has been an officer for over 20 years, touched thousands of people around the nation with his act of kindness (as was the case when an Illinois cop bought a homeless man food).
The photo shows Officer Livermore holding the blind man's hand and leading him to the bus stop. According to the news report, the man couldn't find his bus stop and became disoriented.
"He didn't know where he was," Officer Livermore explained. "And not knowing the location, he was kind of concerned with the traffic."
The news station shared the photo on its Facebook page, and it received a ton of comments from touched viewers.
"As a mother of a blind adult son, this melts my heart! My son is not capable of walking alone but I do fear the day he is and is at a busy intersection!" one woman wrote.
Another said, "What a beautiful photograph of a compassionate San Diego Police officer. He is a human being showing love to another. We should all learn from this. Made my day!"

"A San Diego Police Department officer is captured helping a blind gentleman cross a busy intersection near the 163 today. The 10News viewer who took this picture says the officer pulled over his SUV and walked the man safely to the sidewalk. The viewer was so moved, it brought her to tears. A job well done! Thank you, officer!" the news station wrote along with the photo.
