Just in the last month, there have been so many dramatic animal rescues. From saving a dog from a sinkhole to freeing a moose buried in an avalanche, these helpless animals were saved from certain death, thanks to some amazing heroes.
Now, this next story is pretty incredible. Two friends were spending the weekend at Lake Kenora in Ontario when they heard cries in the distance. That's when they noticed a baby deer was stuck in the middle of a frozen lake. Unable to stand, the deer couldn't get to dry land.
The two men leapt into action to rescue the wild animal. They skated out to the middle of the lake and wrapped a bungee cord around the deer. This way, they could pull the deer safely to land. After a few minutes, they finally made it to the edge of the lake. At the very end, the cameraman had to put down the camera and help the deer to its feet. The deer appeared unharmed and ran into the woods. What amazing heroes! They deserve a medal!
