Steph Curry’s Parents Are Divorcing After 33 Years Of Marriage And Apparently Both Cheated

One of the NBA's most famous families is on their way to breaking up. Dell and Sonya Curry, parents of Steph and Seth, are divorcing after over 30 years of marriage.

Sonya Curry filed for divorce back in June of this year, citing "marital disconduct" in her court paperwork. The filing came after the couple agreed to legally separate last year.

Since the news broke, both parties have gone on to accuse the other of cheating.

Dell Curry reportedly believes that Sonya cheated on him with the man who is said to be her boyfriend, former football player Steven Johnson. The legal documents he filed state his belief is that his wife "began her extramarital affair with Mr. Johnson during the marriage and prior to the date of separation, and she lied to [Dell] each time she cheated on him."

Dell goes on to assert that he believes his soon-to-be ex should not be entitled to alimony since she is living in Tennessee with another man. However, Sonya claims to be living alone because Dell refuses to allow her back into their shared home.

Sonya also states that her new relationship began many months after she and Dell separated in March 2020.

Sonya also went on to state that Dell cheated on her throughout their marriage, and that up until now she refrained from sharing those details "in one final act of trying to protect [Dell] and family from possible public exposure and scrutiny."

Dell and Sonya initially released a joint statement that belied the truth behind their split:

"After exploring a trial separation over the past year and much thoughtful consideration, we have decided to end our marriage. As this comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus and desire is for our family's continued happiness."

The statement continued, "We are so thankful for all the many blessings and successes! We stay committed to and supportive of our children and grandchildren and will remain on connected paths. We ask that our privacy be respected and prayer for our family as we move forward."
