For many individuals, having some good old eggs is a staple of their daily breakfast routines. They're so versatile — not to mention packed with protein!
However, if you're anything like Sally Thompson of Cumbra, U.K., you might never look at eggs the same way again!
In the video below, Sally recalled an experience with an egg that is nothing short of spectacular.
She recently had just cooked some hard-boiled eggs for breakfast when she made a stunning discovery.
“I took one, peeled it, and bit into it, when I feel something like gristle in my mouth,” the 39-year-old said to South West News Service. “It fell onto the plate, and I couldn’t understand where it had come from ― I thought it had come from me.”
Amazingly, Sally had taken a bite into that egg only to find a small diamond in her mouth.
"I couldn’t understand where it had come from,” she said. “The only place could have been from the egg.”
No one can pinpoint exactly how the diamond, which a jeweler informed Sally was more likely to be cubic zirconia, ended up inside the egg.
Some theories include that perhaps the chicken who laid the egg might have swallowed the "diamond," and somehow found it's way to the egg itself!
Regardless of how it got in there, it was still a stunning discovery for Sally!
