If there was ever a time to get crafty, now is that time. With kids hanging out at home, there is really only so much TV to be watched. There are tons of mess-free and simple crafts to do with your kids. And that's important, because while crafts are fun and all, kids don't always have the most nimble fingers, either. But you also need the right supplies, and that can be tough. One thing most of us are stocked up on, though, is toilet paper.
With all of those empty toilet paper rolls getting thrown in the recycling bin, you'll have just about everything you need to get started on these craft projects. Plus, they're so simple a child could create them, which is kind of the point.

Ninja Turtles
These Ninja Turtles are just too adorable not to make. If you have a little Ninja Turtle fan in the house, you can make the whole bunch or their favorite character. All you really need is some paint or construction paper! Plus, you can add stick-on eyes or other little quirks. You can definitely use this idea as inspiration to make other TV characters, too.

Another amazing thing you probably never thought of doing with your empty toilet paper rolls is using them like you would use stamps! You can use whatever paint you have around, whether it's poster paint or acrylic. Just make sure it's washable, of course. Then use your roll as the stamper to create circles, flowers, and a whole variety of designs.
Red Riding Hood and Friends
Little Red Riding Hood is a classic fairy tale that kids love, so they'll definitely want to get in on making the whole gang. But there are tons of other fairy tales you can choose from, too, like The Three Little Pigs. Get creative and draw from whatever your kids are into at the moment. In addition to using toilet paper rolls, you can also add yarn, felt, or whatever you have around the house.
Bug Rolls
Kids love bugs, especially the cute ones — you know, like ladybugs and butterflies. They're even cuter when they aren't real, however.
