A baby elephant was left for dead after a stampede ran the rest of the calf's herd out of town. The 2-week-old calf was found near death in a classroom after a vicious attack.
Before you let your break into a million pieces, realize that life in Kenya is far different from anywhere else… and that this baby's story doesn't end here. By the grace of God, an animal rescuer stepped in and flew the newborn to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust elephant orphanage, where she was treated for her wounds and introduced to other baby elephants. Her reaction to meeting the other orphans says it all. This baby is finally safe and finally feels love again. I'm so happy she was saved and will now have a chance at a good life. What a miracle!!!
