Katie loves elephants. Majestic, gorgeous and smart, they're one of my favorite animals, too.
Ian, Katie's boyfriend, is well aware of her love of these wonderful creatures. So when he decided to pop the big question, Ian wanted to make this a memory she'd never forget. And boy, did he ever. He contacted his local zoo, and found a way to include a real live elephant in his marriage proposal.
Ian blindfold Katie and secretly drove to the zoo. She stood with her back facing the elephant, and had no idea the gigantic surprise behind her. Even when Ian tells Katie to remove her blindfold, she doesn't know! But when she finally turns around, she's touched to tears and is so happy when the kindhearted elephant presenting her with an engagement ring from his trunk!
Ian says, "I was very scared that the elephant would either drop or eat it haha, but it went perfectly and better than I could have ever imagined it.” Katie, of course, said. yes.
